“THE LORD IS FAITHFUL IN ALL HIS WORDS AND KIND IN ALL HIS WORKS.” PSALM 145:13B
In my devotional time, this morning as I prayed Psalm 145, the wonderful words of this psalmist arrested my attention and begged for an audience. The psalmist is a moment of reflection provides one of the greatest testimonies to the goodness of the Lord. He recounts his experience with the Lord and declares, “the LORD is faithful in all HIS words and kind in all HIS works.”
When I read those words my heart rejoiced and his testimony resonated with my soul. I too have experienced the truth of this testimony. I too have experienced the goodness of the LORD and discovered that GOD is indeed “faithful in all HIS words.” GOD’s word is forever HIS bond. His words are covenantal in nature. When GOD speaks, HE speaks from a place of faithfulness and can be counted upon to bring to pass what HE has declared. And so we can rest assured that what we encounter in HIS word, will come to pass.
But not only that GOD is also “kind in all HIS works.” I have lived long enough and through enough now to know that GOD’s works are accompanied by grace, mercy, favor and most importantly love. Halleluia! We serve a loving GODÂ who has shown HIMSELF to be patient and compassionate. HE has shown us HIS covenant faithfulness and kindness.
And so when the Psalmist comes to that revelation, HE declares in vs. 21, “In my mouth will speak the praise of the Lord. The question for us today is what will be our response to the faithfulness and kindness of our LORD. The psalmist rejoiced. The Psalmist praised. The Psalmist glorified and exalted our GOD. My recommendation is that if the LORD has ever done anything for you, give HIM the glory and praise HIS for all that HE has done for you.
Again the choice is yours. How will you respond?
In HIS service,
Paul
Prayer: LORD, we thank you for your covenant faithfulness and loving kindness. We thank you for how YOU manifest and make real those realities in our lives. We pray now for hearts of gratitude and thankfulness so that we may respond properly to who YOU are and what YOU have done and are doing. In Jesus name, we pray. Amen.
