WHY I LOVE THE LORD!

SCRIPTURE

I love the Lord, for He heard my voice: He heard my cry for mercy. Because He turned His ear to me, I will call on Him as long as I live. Psalm 116:1-2

OBSERVATION

This Psalmist is reflecting on a moment in his life when his circumstances and situations compelled him to call upon the Lord. And what he discovered is a GOD that hears prayers and a GOD that answers prayers. Therefore, this Psalmist declares that as long as he lives, he will call on the Lord.

APPLICATION

This is an important reminder to the believer that the GOD we serve hears and answers prayers. This is an important insight because life has a way of overtaking and overwhelming us at times. And we need this blessed assurance that if we call on him, whether in the good or the bad, GOD will hear and answer our prayers. Therefore, I am like the psalmist and am determined to call on the one that I have discovered in my life is truly able.

PRAYER

Lord, I thank you for the reminder that you indeed hear and answer prayers. I am not worthy of such consideration but I thank you that you look beyond my faults and continue to meet me at my point of needs.
